Story of the keyboard
A friend at university (@Toaster) introduced me to the world of mechanical keyboards. My biggest struggle always was that I didn’t know what kind of switch to choose, because there is too many of them. He has hundreds of switches to try.
My first DIY keyboard was a corne and I quickly moved to 36 keys by eliminating softwarely the last column. The keyboard had one big drawback and it was it’s size. The keys were too close to each other and my hands always felt crushed. I looked for a keyboard with a wider layout, but unfortunately the one I found was out of stock for half a year! I contacted the seller, but the attitude was.. disappointing. You can imagine my hope sink for acquiring the keyboard so I decided I will design my own.
